Falcons in eighth after first day at El Macero

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - The Air Force golf team is in eighth place after the first day of the El Macero Classic, Friday, April 13, at the El Macero Country Club in Davis, Calif. Nevada leads the 13-team tournament with a three-over-par 291. On a windy day, the Falcons shot a 307 (+19). Of the seven teams ahead of the Falcons, two are ranked in the top 25, 12th-ranked Texas Tech and 24th ranked UCLA. The Bruins are in second place while UC Davis, the host school, is in third.
Junior Tate Tatom and sophomore Anson Kuznik are tied for 26th after an opening round 76 (+4).Kuznik shot a 37 on the front while Tatom shot a 37 on the back. Junior Bryant Falconello is tied for 34th with a 77 while sophomore Joshua Wu is tied for 45th with a 78.
The second round of the El Macero Classic begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 13. The final round is Sunday, April 14, beginning at 7:30 a.m. PT. Live scoring is available at GolfStat.com.
