Falcons in 12th after day one at Cowboy Classic

CHANDLER, Ariz. - The Air Force golf team is in 12th place after the first two rounds of the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, Monday, April 9, at the Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Ariz. After an opening round 297, the Falcons shot a two-over 290 in round two for a two-round total of 587 (+11). Sam Houston State leads the field at 557. UTSA is second and Wyoming, the host school, is third.
Junior Bryant Falconello is the top Falcon, tied for 34th with a 145 (+1). Falconello's 68 in round one tied his career best and the best by a Falcon this season. He put together a string of five straight birdies on the back nine. Sophomore Anson Kuznik shot a two-under 70 in round two and is tied for 51st with a 147. Andy Germann is tied for 54th at 148
Senior Dane Hankamer, competing as an individual, is tied for 22nd with a one-under par 143. After an opening round 73, he shot a two-under 70 in round two, tying his best round of the season.
The final round of the Wyoming Cowboy Classic begins at 7:30 am MT on Tuesday, April 10, at the Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Ariz.
