Dau & Ready Earn All-Mountain West Baseball Honors

Air Force baseball placed two players on the 2018 All-Mountain West Baseball Teams, announced today by the conference office in conjunction with opening day of the 2018 MW Baseball Championship Tournament in San Diego, Calif. Junior first baseman Nic Ready earned first-team honors while junior catcher Rob Dau earned second team.
Ready earned his third All-MW honor and first, first-team designation. Ready led the Mountain West during the regular season with 20 home runs and 74 RBIs. Both totals rank second all-time in a season at Air Force. The Dallas, Texas, native batted .341 on the season. He also led the conference with 12 home runs and 42 RBIs in conference play, both of which are school MW season records. Ready also had a team-best 30 game hitting streak and 38-game reached base streak. The junior ranked first in the MW in seven categories overall and in conference play.
Dau led Air Force with a .350 batting average, ranking second on the team with 78 hits and 52 RBIs. The Dallas, Ga., native ranked second in the MW during the regular season in base runners thrown out attempting to steal, having thrown out 19. The junior raised his batting average an astounding 114 points from (.236 to .350) from his sophomore season. He also raised his slugging percentage 152 points (.368 to .520).
Air Force placed a player on the first team for the third-consecutive season, tying the 2011-14 run of three-straight first team all-conference players for the program.
