Ten Falcons Earn MW All-Academic

Air Force baseball had 10 cadet-athletes earn 2018 Academic All-Mountain West honors, announced by the conference office. The 10 all-academic honorees is the second-most in program history.
Junior Matt Hargreaves (Operations Research, 3.46) led the way with his third Academic All-MW honor.
Seniors Ryan Holloway (Economics, 3.09) and Ryan Robb (Aeronautical Engineering, 3.39) and juniors Jake Gilbert (Managment, 3.28), Daniel Jones (Operations Research, 3.35), Ethan Nichols (Management, 3.19) and Nic Ready (Management, 3.28) earned their second Academic All-MW honors.
Juniors Colby Brown (Political Science, 3.40) and Gabe Martinez (Systems Engineering, 3.08) and freshman Luke Chilcutt (Operations Research, 3.13) earned their first Academic All-MW honor.
A total of 1,000 student-athletes were named to the spring 2018 Academic All-Mountain West team. Spring sports include baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and golf, softball, women's swimming and diving, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field.
To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team. Leeway is granted due to injuries.
