Women's Soccer to Hold Blue/Silver Scrimmage Friday

Hear Head Coach Larry Friend recap the Creighton match and look ahead to the weekend
USAFA, Colo. -- The Air Force women's soccer team takes a break from regular season competition when it plays its Blue/Silver scrimmage this Friday, August 31, at Cadet Soccer Stadium.
Last weekend, the Falcons won their first game of the season with a 3-0 shutout victory over Creighton University, August 24. Sophomore Emma Nelson, an Omaha native, scored the first two goals of her career, including the game winner in the 10th minute. Junior Kasey Stavig netted the teams second goal of the evening, also the first of her collegiate career.
Head Coach Larry Friend joined Falcon Vision to recap last Friday's action, as well as preview this weekend's festivities.
Air Force returns to regular season action the following Friday, Sept. 7, when it heads to New York to take on service academy rival Army West Point. Kickoff against the Black Knights is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
