
Track and Field Announces 2018-19 Schedule

The Falcons will host five indoor meets and one outdoor meet during the upcoming season.
USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – Highlighted by six home competitions and road trips to several of the nation's premier events, the Air Force track and field team released its schedule for the upcoming 2018-19 season this afternoon. The Falcons will host five indoor meets at the Cadet Field House and one outdoor meet at the Cadet Track and Field Complex.
Air Force opens the season in early December, when they host the annual Holiday Open at the Academy's Cadet Field House on Dec. 7. The Falcons continue their home schedule in the new year with the Air Force Team Challenge (Jan. 18), Air Force Combined Events Meet (Jan. 24-25), Air Force Invitational (Jan. 25-26) and Air Force Collegiate Open (Feb. 15). During the outdoor season, Air Force will host its annual Twilight Open to conclude the regular season on May 3.
The Falcons will also compete at the Potts Indoor Invitational (Jan. 11-12) and Colorado Open (Feb. 1-2) in Boulder during the indoor season, while the team will split for the Texas Tech Shootout and Washington Husky Classic over the Feb. 8-9 weekend.
The 2019 Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held Feb. 23-25 in Albuquerque, N.M., while the NCAA Indoor Championships will take place in Birmingham, Ala., on March 8-9.
Air Force opens the outdoor season at Colorado's Jerry Quiller Classic on March 15-16. After competing at the Aztec Invitational on March 22-23, the Falcons' distance runners will split for the San Francisco State Distance Carnival and Stanford Invitational on March 29-30. Air Force will compete at the Colorado Invitational on Apr. 5-6 and Texas A&M Invitational on Apr. 12-13, before heading to California for three meets (Pacific Coast Intercollegiate, Mt. SAC Relays, Beach Invitational) over the April 18-20 weekend. The team closes out the road portion of its regular season at the prestigious Drake Relays on April 25-27.
The MW Outdoor Championships will be held May 8-11 in Clovis, Calif., while the NCAA Outdoor Championships begin with the preliminary round in Sacramento, Calif., on May 23-25, and conclude with the finals in Austin, Texas, on June 5-8.
