Men's Swimming Knocks off Seattle & Simon Fraser

The Falcons finished in the top three of all ten events
FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – The Air Force Academy men's swimming team claimed victory in a pair of duals, defeating Western Athletic Conference rival Seattle University, 128-58, while also knocking off Simon Fraser University, 102-84, Friday evening, Jan. 11, at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.
Air Force (5-5-1) had four event wins on the evening, while finishing in the top three of each of the ten events. The best race on the day was the 100 breast, where AFA went 1-2-3.
The individual wins came courtesy of freshman Isaac Gwin in the 100 back, taking gold with a 49.99. Junior Cole McAnany placed second in that event with a 50.53. The other was from junior Zach Nelson in the 100 breast, timing in with a 56.37. Finishing right behind him were junior Andrew Weiss and sophomore Brendan Richichi.
The other two first place finishes came in the relays, as the Falcons took first in both the 200 medley relay (1:32.55) as well as the 200 free relay (1:24.22).
Air Force will be right back in action tomorrow afternoon, Jan. 12, when they head on campus to Seattle U to battle the Redhawks once again in dual action. Start time at Redhawk Center is set for 12 p.m. MT.
