The Falcons will face Wyoming, Friday, and Denver, Saturday
USAFA, Colo. – The Air Force Academy men's swimming and diving team is back in action this weekend for a pair of road duals, beginning with Western Athletic Conference rival Wyoming, Friday, Oct. 18, followed by an in-state battle with Denver, Saturday, Oct. 19.
Start time against the Cowboys at Laramie High School is set for 3 p.m. for the divers and 4 p.m. for the swimmers. The meet will run alongside the women, who are facing the Cowgirls. Meanwhile in Denver, things at El Pomar Natatorium begin with diving events at 11:30 a.m., while swimming gets underway at 1 p.m.
The Falcons are coming off a 1-1 weekend at the annual Intermountain Shootout over in Grand Junction, Oct. 4-5. In the two-day event, AF defeated host Colorado Mesa while falling to BYU. Air Force had seven overall event wins over the course of the two days.
Last season against these opponents, AF was felled by both in dual action, with both taking place at the Cadet Natatorium. The Falcons then went on to finish just 11 points behind Wyoming at the WAC Championships for third place.
Following this two dual weekend, Air Force will compete at home for the first time this regular season, as they will face Colorado Mesa and the Colorado School of Mines in a tri-meet, Friday, Nov. 1. Action inside the Cadet Natatorium is set to begin at 5 p.m. MT.
