Falcons Complete Day Three At ITA Mountain Regional

Air Force men's tennis completed day three action Friday at the 2019 ITA Mountain Regional Championships, hosted by the University of Denver. Freshman Morgan Ihrig led the way by making it to the singles consolation semifinals with a pair of wins.

Ihrig continued his run through the consolation bracket with two wins. The freshman defeated Lukas Buth of North Dakota 6-3, 6-2 in the round of 16. Ihrig knocked-off Drew Brown of Montana State with a 6-7 (5), 6-1, 10-7 rally in the quarterfinals.

In the singles round of 16, senior Mack Galvin fell to #2 Matt Summers of Denver 6-3, 6-2. In the consolation singles, sophomore Jordan Azuma fell to Javier Ruiz of Utah State 2-6, 6-3, 10-5 and freshman Jonathan Mascagni fell to Ignacio Rivero Crespo of Denver 6-1, 4-6, 10-4.

In doubles play, the duo of juniors Paul Hendrix and Patrick Sklenka fell to Pedro Fernandez del valle/Daniel Krulig of Denver, 8-2.

The Falcons return to action in day four of competition tomorrow, Saturday.
