The Falcons will compete alongside the men
USAFA, Colo. – The Air Force Academy women's swimming and diving team is back at home for a tri-meet with in-state foes Colorado Mesa and the Colorado School of Mines, Friday, Nov. 1 at the Cadet Natatorium. Action, which will run alongside the men who are also facing Mesa and Mines, gets underway at 5 p.m.
The meet will feature 16 events, two relays, two diving, and 12 individual swimming. The action will be streamed live on YouTube.
Air Force is coming off a 1-2 dual weekend, Oct. 18-19, as they defeated defending WAC Champions Northern Arizona, 146-96, while falling to MW rivals Wyoming and Colorado State. Against the Rams, the margin of defeat was just 12 points, and the meet came down to the final relay.
The Falcons have already competed against the Colorado Mesa Mavericks this season, knocking them off in Grand Junction at the Intermountain Shootout, 233-160. Meanwhile, last season against the Orediggers of CO Mines, the Falcons were victorious, 228-59.
Following this weekend, AF will be right back in the pool as they head down to Phoenix, Ariz. to compete in a quad-meet with host Grand Canyon, as well as New Mexico State and Idaho. The two-day competition kicks off at 3 p.m. MT on Friday, Nov. 8, and will pick back up at 11 a.m. MT, Saturday, Nov. 9.
