Air Force Men’s Tennis Opens Play At ITA All-American Championships

Air Force men's tennis completed day one action at the Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships, on Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Okla. Juniors Paul Hendrix and Patrick Sklenka competed for the Falcons in pre-qualifier action.
Hendrix posted a split on the day, going 1-1. Hendrix defeated Jacob Wareti of Ohio State 6-4, 6-3 in his first match. It was Air Force's first win at the All-Americans since 2012. Hendrix would drop his second match of the day to Dimitrios Azoides of Abilene Christian 6-4, 6-2.
Sklenka dropped his match to Peter Kuszynski of Western Michigan 6-3, 6-4.
Day two of the pre-qualifiers is tomorrow, Sunday, Oct. 6.
