Men’s Tennis Takes Down Montana

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis was defeated Montana 4-3 Sunday afternoon at the Indoor Tennis Courts in the Cadet Gym. The win improved the Falcons to 6-4 on the season.
With the match knotted up at 3-3, the Falcons clinched the match with freshman James Scotty rallying to win at No. 6 singles over Pontus Hallgren 4-6, 6-1, 6-3.
The Falcons took the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. The duo of Tadhg Collins and Patrick Sklenka defeated Alex Cantellopoulos/Ed Pudney 6-4 at No 1. and Isaac Perez and Robert Baylon defeated Ludvig Hallgren and Pontus Hallgren 6-3 at No. 2.
The Falcons and Grizzlies went 3-3 in singles competition. Sklenka won at No. 1 singles over Cantellopoulos 6-2, 3-6, 7-5. After Luke Sanderson lost at No. 2 singles, Paul Hendrix claimed a win at No. 3 singles, taking down Max Korkh 6-1, 4-6, 7-6 (4).
Air Force dropped the No. 4 and No. 5 singles matches to make it a 3-3 match. Scotty then came through to earn the Falcons the win.
Air Force return to action Thursday, Feb. 14 at Embry-Riddle (Fla.).
