Falcon Lacrosse Travels to Furman for SoCon Contest

Air Force lacrosse and the Furman Paladins will face off at 12 p.m. ET, at Paladin Stadium
THIS WEEK
The Falcons will travel to Greenville, South Carolina, to take on SoCon foes, Furman, on Saturday, March 23. The Falcons and Paladins are slated for a 12 p.m. ET face-off at Paladin Stadium.
THE SERIES WITH FURMAN:
The Falcons lead the Paladins in the all-time series, 4-1
-The series began in 2015 at USAFA
-Air Force has outscored Furman, 53-25 in the five-game series
-The Falcons' largest margin of victory over the Paladins' was 10 goals
-Air Force lost by just one goal in 2018 --it was the Falcons' first-ever loss in the SoCon

AIR FORCE SWEEPS WEEKLY SOCON AWARDS
Air Force attack Trey Lervick and goalkeeper Braden Host have been named the Southern Conference men's lacrosse offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively, for all competition March 12-18. The awards are selected by the league office.
Lervick had a career performance in the Falcons' 20-8 win at Mercer on Saturday (Mar. 16), scoring five goals and dishing off four assists for nine points, all three of which were career highs. The nine points are tied for the second-most in a game in SoCon history, while the five goals tie for eighth-most. The senior from Woodbury, Minnesota, who scored in each quarter against the Bears, has four hat tricks in seven games this season, scoring at least four goals in three of them. He leads Air Force with 20 goals and 29 points so far this season.
Host recorded a goals against average of just 3.98 in 45 minutes of work in net for the Falcons against the Bears, making six saves and allowing just three goals against 23 shots for a .667 save percentage before departing in the fourth quarter. The sophomore from Aurora, Colorado, also collected two ground balls and caused two turnovers on the day. Host is 5-2 with a 7.38 GAA in the cage this season and has helped the Falcons keep their last six opponents under 10 goals.
