
Brandon Jones Earns USILA All-America Honorable Mention

The Air Force Lacrosse defender and team captain set the standard for most career and single-season caused turnovers
Air Force co-team captain Brandon Jones has earned a spot on the 2019 USILA / Warrior and New Balance All-American Division I Teams, announced Thursday afternoon. Jones is the first defender to win the honor since Alex Warden in 2016 and is the sixth Falcon to earn the honor since Air Force joined Div. I lacrosse in 1993.
Jones, a two-time team captain and linchpin defender of the Air Force defense, also earned a nod as the Southern Conference's Defensive Player of the Year. Jones, the program's leader in career caused turnovers, was drafted to the Major lacrosse League's Denver Outlaws in the fourth round as the 36th overall pick. The Columbus, Ohio, native started in every career appearance and set the bar for single-season caused turnovers and collected the fourth-most career ground balls in program history. He has two first-team All-SoCon nods and was selected to appear in the USILA North-South Senior All-Star game.
