Men's Swimming & Diving Roll Past UIW, 125-95

The Falcons had a top three finisher in all 12 competitions
USAFA, Colo. – The Air Force Academy men's swimming and diving team breezed to a commanding 125-95 dual win over the University of the Incarnate Word, Friday evening, Jan. 10, inside the Cadet Natatorium. AF claimed victory in six of the 12 events overall, while having a top three finisher in all 12.
Starting with the 400 medley relay, seniors Cole McAnany and Zach Nelson, along with sophomores Andrew Limpert and Matthew Lattin, got the meet started with a first place finish. Immediately following that, AF went 1-2-3 in the 200 free, as freshman Wen Zhang touched in first, followed by sophomore Wyatt Boswell and freshman Jaykob Williams.
The winning continued in the third event, the 50 free, as Lattin and sophomore Corey Shepard went 1-2 in that event. The next victory for AF came once again from Lattin in the 100 free, followed closely behind by Boswell.
Air Force's last individual win came in the 200 breast, as Nelson swam to a first place finish. Finally, the Falcons won the 400 free relay, as Limpert, Boswell, Zhang, and junior Erik Orr placed first.
Meanwhile, over on the diving board, junior Cole Armagost placed second for AF in both events, the 1-meter and 3-meter.
The Falcons return to the pool tomorrow, Jan. 11, when they face UIW in day two of dual action. The meet will get underway at 11 a.m. inside the Cadet Natatorium.
