Air Force Downed By Drake

DES MOINES, IOWA - Air Force men's basketball (2-2) fell to Drake (6-0), 81-53, Sunday afternoon in non-conference action at Knapp Center. Junior Abe Kinrade led the Falcons with a career-high 15 points.

DJ Wilkins scored 23 points to lead Drake. Wilkins made six of the Bulldogs 10 three's on the night. Drake did most of its damage inside however, with a 40-20 advantage in rebounds, which led to 42 points in the paint.

Three Falcons reached double-figures in scoring, led by Kinrade. The forward was 5-of-7 from the field with four free throws in 18 minutes off the bench.

Joining Kinrade in double-figures were junior guard AJ Walker and senior guard Chris Joyce. Walker had 14 points, three rebounds and three assists. Joyce added 13 points, connecting on a pair of threes as well. With his 13 points, Joyce surpassed 500 career points in the game.

Three Falcons also made their season debuts. Sophomore forward CJ Haut and freshman guard Logan Morrissey made their collegiate debuts. Junior guard Nick René made his season debut.

Air Force returns to action Friday, Dec. 18 at Nevada.
