Men’s Tennis Announces 2019-20 Awards

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis announced its team award winners for the 2019-20 season. Senior Mack Galvin was named the teams' Most Valuable Player, while juniors Jamie Bautista and Paul Hendrix have been named the team captains for next season.
The Falcons had one of its best seasons in the Mountain West era, posting a 10-3 record, including a stellar 9-2 mark at home. The .769 win percentage is the best since 2003 and the second-winningest season in the MW era. The Falcons had its signature win come against service academy rival Army in a 4-2 win in a neutral-site dual in Los Angeles. In the Fall, freshman Morgan Ihrig captured the ITA Mountain Region consolation championship for the Falcons.
Galvin earned MVP and the Lighting Bolt honors by posting a team-leading 17 wins on the season, which included eight singles wins and nine doubles wins.
Bautista and Hendrix, both rising seniors, were named team captains for the 2020-21 season. The duo earned All-Mountain West doubles honors in 2019-20 as the #1 doubles duo at Air Force.
