Air Force Men’s Tennis Welcomes Class of 2024

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis welcomes four freshman that comprise the class of 2024, announced today by head coach Dan Oosterhous. The four freshmen recently completed basic cadet training (BCT) and join the team for the 2021 season.
Brian Garcia, Jinta Sasamori, Nick Vroman and Daniel Wei join the Falcons this season, all-coming to the Academy as nationally-ranked high school players.
"We are really proud of Brian, Jinta, Nick and Daniel for getting through a very challenging BCT," Oosterhous said. "They came through healthy, with great attitudes and ready to work hard for the team. They will each be a great addition to our program. While we are all disappointed that our fall season was cancelled, we're excited to be back on the court again as a team and have the spring season in our sights."

Brian Garcia - Lake In The Hills, IL (Sarasota Virtual School)
Tennis Recruiting national ranking of #144 as a senior with a four-star ranking… coached by Travis Eckert and Jose Tolentino … played two years of high school tennis, earning varsity letters both seasons … won districts and finished second at states for doubles … scholar-athlete … team captain as a senior ... graduated with a 4.0 grade-point average.
Jinta Sasamori - Norwalk, CA (Bishop Montgomery HS)
Tennis Recruiting national ranking of #144 as a senior with a four-star ranking … high school coach was Angel Quimson … club coach was Oliver Messerli … Del Rey League MVP and Individuals Champion for three straight years (freshman-junior) … on the Principal's honor roll all four years.
Nick Vroman - Sudbury, MA (Lincoln-Sudbury Regional HS)
Tennis Recruiting national ranking of #83 as a senior with a four-star ranking … high school coach was Rick Sharton … club coach was Jon Murch … earned three varsity letters ... brother, Andrew is a junior at Army West Point and is a member of the tennis team.
Daniel Wei - Irvine, CA (Irvine HS)
Tennis Recruiting national ranking of #194 as a senior with a three-star ranking … high school coach was Gary Russell … also competed for Brymer Lewis Tennis Academy and was coached by Erik Nyman, Chuck Brymer and Chris Lewis … earned four varsity letters in tennis and one in soccer … was also on swim team … First-Team Pacific Coast League all four years and all-county as a junior … won PCL and made it to CIF state quarterfinals as a junior … career-high rank of 15 in Southern California … career-high TRN rank of 157.
