HENDRICKSON ANNOUNCES HIS PRESENCE: Freshman heavyweight Wyatt Hendrickson came into the season with a lot of hype, and he proved why in his first two matches of college action. The Kansas native went 2-0 with a 9-0 major decision in the dual, and then pinned his opponent in just 1:23 in an extra match. He is 3-1 to begin the season.
ALL-TIME VERSUS WYOMING: Saturday will mark the 57th meeting between Wyoming and Air Force on the mats, with Wyoming leading the all-time series 44-12. The last win for AF in the series came back in 2008, a 21-12 victory in the season finale. The two teams first met all the way back in 1958, and have faced off every season since 2006-07.
LAST TIME AGAINST THE COWBOYS: The Falcons captured wins at four weight classes in a 21-12 dual defeat to Big 12 rival Wyoming, Saturday, Nov. 16 2019. Senior Lenny Petersen is the only returning starter who won a match for AF in that dual, a 5-3 decision over Chase Zollmann at 141.
AF RETURNING SOME FIREPOWER: The Falcons are poised to make some noise this season, as they return nine of the 10 primary starters from a season ago, as well as 15 wrestlers who have experience as a starter in a Big 12 dual. All four placewinners in the Big 12 tournament from a season ago also return in Cody Phippen, Lenny Petersen, Cody Surratt, and Jake Thompson.

The group is headlined by heavyweight Wyatt Hendrickson, who was the second-ranked recruit in his weight class by theopenmat.com and third by Flowrestling.
