
Seattle U Trips up Air Force, 2-1

The Falcons were first to strike as seniors Lathan Spadafora and Tristan Trager assisted Michael Neacsu with his first goal of the season in the 28th minute. Air Force carried the lead into the halftime break, but Seattle U held the advantage in first-half shots and corner kicks, outshooting the Falcons 10-6, while tallying six set-piece corner opportunities.
Seattle standout Declan Mcglynn notched the equalizer in the 53rd minute in an unassisted attack. The Redhawks' Habib Barry scored the game-winner in the 72nd minute via touches from Josh Castrillon and James Morris.
Air Force was unable to respond as Seattle controlled the offensive possessions. At the final horn, Seattle put up 27 shots on the Falcons, marking a season-high shot count by any Air Force opponent. Falcon standout defender London Aghedo led the squad in shots, taking three of Air Force's 13 total shots. Neacsu, Spadafora, and Trager tallied two shots apiece.
Air Force goalie Kainoa Likewise gave up his first league loss in goal, making seven saves against nine shots on target.
Next up, Air Force returns to Cadet Soccer Stadium to host Dixie State and UNLV, Friday (Oct. 22) and Sunday (Oct. 24), respectively. The match against Dixie State is slated for 6 p.m., while the Falcons and Rebels will kick off at 1 p.m.
Current Defense Department and Air Force Academy rules require all individuals to wear a mask inside Academy facilities. All individuals who have not been fully vaccinated must wear masks outside on military installations
