Air Force Completes Day Two At SDSU Fall Classic II

Air Force women's tennis completed day two at the 2021 SDSU Fall Classic II Saturday at the Aztec Tennis Center Courts at San Diego State.
The Falcons picked up three wins on the day.
Leading the way was the doubles duo of Karina Chao and Isabella Flodin, who defeated Von Tersch Pohrere/Godoy of San Diego State 7-6 (3). The duo will play in the Red Doubles Draw Championship tomorrow.
In singles play, Alexis Odom and Alex Kuo won their consolation draw matches. Odom defeated Serina Saltzen of UC Riverside 6-3, 7-5 to advance to the Red Consolation Flight final. Kuo defeated Sydney Tran of UCR 1-6, 7-6 (3), 6-3 to advance to the White Consolation Flight Final.
"We competed very well in the singles today," head coach Kim Gidley said. "I really loved the fight and energy and we had individuals make great adjustments from yesterday. In the doubles, Karina Chao is in her third doubles final for the season with a third different partner, Isabella Flodin. The duo made some great adjustments and fought back from a 4-1 deficit to win in the tie-breaker against rival, San Diego State."
Day three action wraps up competition tomorrow.
