
Falcons Drop Season Finale to Fresno State

FRESNO, Calif. - Despite its third-best hitting performance of the season, the Air Force volleyball team closed out the 2021 campaign with a 23-25, 19-25, 21-25 loss to Fresno State this evening (Nov. 18) in California.
The Falcons combined to hit .314 on the night - 64 points higher than the host Bulldogs, as Air Force accounted 37 kills on 86 attempts, with just 10 errors. That was the squad's third-highest performance of the season - and second-highest in conference play (UNLV, .316)
Wearing the Blue and Silver for the final time, seniors Bailey Keith and Lily Landis led the Falcons in kills (eight) and assists (13, tied), respectively, while the latter was one of three to register a service ace, joining sophomore Madison Felker and junior Sarah Markwardt. Freshman Mac Russ added seven strikes on .429 hitting (7-1-14) and tallied half of the squad's six assisted blocks, while classmate Murphy Riggs dug a team-high eight balls and sophomore Caroline Reinkensmeyer matched Landis' tally of 13 assists to round out the statistical leaders.
