Air Force Concludes Day One of the AF Diving Invite

Senior Cole Armagost led all AF divers with a seventh place finish on the 1-meter
USAFA, Colo. – The Air Force Academy men's and women's diving team concluded action of the first day of the Air Force Diving Invite Thursday evening, Feb. 4, inside the Cadet Natatorium. The women competed in the 3-meter, while the men dove from the 1-meter.
The top finisher for the Falcons was senior Cole Armagost, as he took seventh overall on the 1-meter. The other two male competitors on the day were sophomore Brett Jenkins, who placed second in the consolation, and 10th overall, and freshman Erik Pfaffenbichler, who took eighth in the consolation and 16th overall.
For the females, they had two divers make it to the consolations. Freshman Kinzie Etzelmiller won the consolations to place ninth overall. Behind her was classmate Grace Treanor, who took third in the consis for an 11th place overall finish.
Both diving teams will be back in action tomorrow, Feb. 5, for day two of the AF Diving Invite. The men will compete on the 3-meter, while the women will take their dives from the 1-meter. The women will lead it off at 10 a.m. while the men will follow at 1:45 p.m.
