Falcons Wrap Up Second Round of Friday Fights

Allyah Marlett was named the Academy's Boxer of the Week
USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force boxing team wrapped up its second Friday Night Figs of the season on Sept. 17, as 12 boxers stepped into the ring of Cadet East Gym for a six-bout card. Junior Allyah Marlett claimed the team's Boxer of the Week award, following a referee-stopped victory at 169 pounds.
In the only women's bout of the night, Marlett collected enough blows to force the referee to stop her contest against Shelby Paul. The junior produced one of two referee-stopped victories on the night, as Daniel Lett closed out the event with a 170-pound victory (third round) over Andrew Ison.
The first four bouts of the night went to the judges for decision, with Leo Camacho kicking off the day with a win over Ryan Dinndorf at 124 pounds. Andrew Lu earned his first Air Force victory with a 128-pound decision over Javy Silva-Gomez, while Garrett Kim defeated Jordan Dutcher at 139 pounds and Zach Phillips decisioned Josh Payton at 146 pounds.
The Falcons return to action next Saturday (Sept. 25), when they travel to Albuquerque to take on the New Mexico Amateurs in the first meeting between the two programs.
