Park leads Falcons on final day in Wichita
U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Sophomore Christopher Park led the Air Force golf team on the final day of the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational, Tuesday, Oct. 11, at the Crestview Country Club in Wichita, Kansas.
In the final round, Park made four birdies, including three straight, for a season-best 75. Freshman Alvaro Fonseca shot a 76 in the final round, and was the top Falcon at the tournament with a three-round score of 224. Park was second with a 226, followed by sophomore Cameron Kahle (229), freshman Brooks Morrell (229) and sophomore Christopher Ehrenberger (243). Freshman Ted Davenport competed as an individual and shot 236, including a 74 in round two.
Air Force placed 10th with a 907. Wichita State, the host school, won the tournament with an 853 (+1). Utah Valley was second (857) and Northern Iowa was third (860).
The Falcons return to action at the TPC Colorado Invitational, hosted by the University of Denver, Oct. 17-19.

Senior Isaac Layne shot a season-best 70 (-2) in the final round of the second annual Jackson T. Stephens Cup, Tuesday, Oct. 11, at the Seminole Club in Juno Beach, Fla.
The Stephens Cup featured seven of the top 26 teams in the nation. Additionally, one individual from each of the service academies and selected HBCUs are invited to compete.
Layne finished the 54-hole tournament with a 221, placing 29th overall and second among the individuals. Layne finished 10 strokes ahead of Army's Dragon Theam and three strokes behind Navy's Keegan Shreves. Layne's 70 on the final day was the best of any individual over the course of the 54-hole tournament.
