Golfers travel to TPC Colorado at Heron Lakes

THIS WEEK: The Air Force golf team travels north on I-25 for the TPC Colorado at Heron Lakes, hosted by the University of Denver, Monday-Wednesday, Oct. 17-19, in Berthoud, Colo. The par-72 course plays at 8,001 yards. Tee times will begin each day at 9:30 am MT. Live scoring will be available on golfstat.com.
THE FIELD: In addition to the host school Denver, and Air Force, the 13-team field includes: Colorado State, BYU, Tarleton State, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, Wichita State, Boise State, St. Thomas, Colorado, Wyoming and Oklahoma State
THE LINEUP: The Air Force lineup this week is: 1. Isaac Layne; 2. Alvaro Fonseca; 3. Christopher Park; 4. Cameron Kahle; 5. Brooks Morrell; Ind. – Max Heupel, Aaron Kuznik, Ted Davenport, Christopher Ehrenberger, Eric Liveringhouse
ABOUT THE COURSE: The TPC Colorado at Heron Lakes is Colorado's only PGA TOUR sanctioned golf course. The course was ranked by Golf Digest as one of America's greatest public courses in 2021. TPC Colorado is part of the 31-Club TPC Network, a division of the PGA Tournament. The 18-hole championship course is proud to be a host on the Korn Ferry Tour, the path to the PGA Tour.
LAST WEEK: Sophomore Christopher Park led the Air Force golf team on the final day of the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational, Tuesday, Oct. 11, at the Crestview Country Club in Wichita, Kansas. In the final round, Park made four birdies, including three straight, for a season-best 75. Freshman Alvaro Fonseca shot a 76 in the final round, and was the top Falcon at the tournament with a three-round score of 224. Park was second with a 226, followed by sophomore Cameron Kahle (229), freshman Brooks Morrell (229) and sophomore Christopher Ehrenberger (243). Freshman Ted Davenport competed as an individual and shot 236, including a 74 in round two. Air Force placed 10th with a 907. Wichita State, the host school, won the tournament with an 853 (+1). Utah Valley was second (857) and Northern Iowa was third (860).
