Falcons Split Week to Wrap First Half of MW Play

Air Force will host Fresno State (Oct. 20) and travel to San Diego State (Oct. 22)
The Air Force volleyball team closes out the first half of the Mountain West season this week, as it faces Fresno State and San Diego State for the only time this year. The Falcons will host the Bulldogs in a brief stopover at the Academy on Thursday, Oct. 20, before heading back out on the road for a matchup with the Aztecs in San Diego on Saturday, Oct. 22.
MATCH INFORMATION
Thursday's match against Fresno State will begin at 6:00 p.m. (MT) inside Cadet East Gym, with Jason Carter and George Egan on the call for FalconVision. Saturday's contest at San Diego State is slated for a 1:00 p.m. (PT) start inside Peterson Gym. Live stats and video will be available for both matches, with direct links available below. SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Fresno State is 6-14 on the year and, like Air Force, still searching for its first conference win. The Bulldogs are coming off a pair of home losses to Colorado State (2-3) and Wyoming (1-3) last week. As a team, Fresno State is ranked second in the conference in blocks with a 2.44 per-set average in Mountain West contests, while Kasey Purry is the league leader in that category with 1.41 stops per set. San Diego State, who will travel to New Mexico before hosting Air Force, enters the week with a 4-15 record and a 2-6 mark in conference play. The Aztecs, who dropped a pair of contests to Wyoming (1-3) and Colorado State (0-3) last week, are led by McKenna Douglas, who is ranked second in the Mountain West with 0.45 aces-per-set in conference matches.
