
Nebraska defeats Air Force in Lincoln

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – For the second straight day, the Nebraska rifle team narrowly defeated Air Force, 4706-4699, Sunday, Oct. 23, in Lincoln, Neb. The Cornhuskers defeated the Falcons by six points in smallbore and one point in air rifle.
Junior Peninah D'Souza and sophomore Lauren Hurley tied for third overall with an 1179 aggregate score. Sophomore Scott Rockett shot 1171 and Morgan Kreb shot 1170. D'Souza was fourth overall in smallbore (585) and third in air rifle (594). Hurley was fifth overall in smallbore at 585 and fourth in air rifle at 594.
The Falcons return to action with the annual President's Trophy, Nov. 5, in Annapolis, Md. Air Force will also compete in a dual match against Army, Nov. 6, in Annapolis.
