
Falcons earn ninth straight President’s Trophy

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force rifle team defeated both Army and Navy to win its ninth straight President's Trophy, Saturday, Nov. 5, in Annapolis, Md. Air Force won the team title with a score of 5868. Navy was second (5849) and Army was third (5785).
Air Force claimed the top three spots in air rifle as Peninah D'Souza, Scott Rockett and Jordan Williams all shot 595. Dante Aletto shot 593 while Lauren Hurley and Victoria Leppert each shot 590 and Morgan Kreb shot 588.
In smallbore, Hurley was the top Falcon, placing second overall at 584. Kreb shot 583, followed by D'Souza (582), Rockett (577), Williams (574) and Leppert (573).
D'Souza was the top shooter overall with an aggregate score of 1177. Hurley was third overall at 1174 and Rockett was fifth overall at 1172.
Air Force faces Army in a dual meet on Sunday, Nov. 6, at 9 am ET in Annapolis, Md.
