LAS VEGAS, Nev.- After seeing the Rebels break a scoreless tie in the 77th minute, Air Force quickly returned the favor just three minute later, as Andrea Mosher's second goal of the season leveled the match to its eventual 1-1 score.
"Although we fell short of winning the match, I could not be any more proud of our growth this season," said head coach Laura Busby. "It has been the most enjoyable season of my career due to their coachability and relentless work ethic."
Mosher made her way down the middle of the pitch before striking a phenomenal left-footed shot past an outstretched UNLV keeper. The goal represents Mosher's first since September 11.
Air Force managed nine total shots, including five on goal. Cassi Bych led the Falcons with four total shots, as well as a game-high three shots on target. Sydney Davis was vital yet again to the Falcons efforts on Sunday, turning away nine of the Rebels 10 shots on goal.
"The future is bright for our program and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to lead this incredible group of women," said Busby.
Next, Air Force will conclude the 2022 regular season against Colorado College in the inaugural City for Champions Cup at Weidner Field on Thursday, October 27. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 pm MT.
