Air Force will honor seniors Sarah Markwardt and BrookeLyn Messenger during Saturday's match.
The Air Force volleyball team returns to the Academy this week, as it wraps up the regular season against Boise State and Utah State. The Falcons will host the Broncos on Thursday, Nov. 15, before welcoming the Aggies to Cadet East Gym on Saturday, Nov. 17, for the final home match of the 2022 season.
MATCH INFORMATION
Thursday's match will begin at 6:00 p.m. (MT), while Saturday's contest is slated for a 1:00 p.m. start due to the Air Force football game later in the day. SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Boise State is 14-13 overall and 6-10 in the Mountain West after dropping a pair of four-set home contests to Nevada and San Jose State last week, while Utah State defeated both the Spartans (3-2) and Wolfpack (3-0) to improve to 19-8 overall, 11-5 in the conference, and secure a place in the MW Tournament. Boise State is currently ranked second in the league in service aces with a 1.75 per-set average in conference matches, while Utah State is ranked third with a 1.66 average. The Aggies are also ranked among the league's top three in opponent hitting (.184, second), kills (13.31, third) and assists (12.41, third), while holding top-five marks in the remaining stat categories. Individually, Boise State's Paige Bartsch is boasting a league-leading 3.84 kills-per-set, while Laura Ohlinger is first in aces with a 0.48 average and Annie Kaminski is one of only three MW hitting averaging a hitting percentage of over .400, as she is hitting at a .406 clip (98-20-192), which is ranked second in the conference.
