Air Force, the reigning champions of the Mountain West, has released its 2023 spring schedule which features matchups against seven Power Five opponents and both service academy rivals.
The Falcons will open the new season in Cleburne, Texas against Army at the Liberty Classic starting February 17, a three-game series to be played at The Depot, the home of the Cleburne Railroaders. Air Force will then take on Navy the weekend of February 24-26 as part of the Freedom Classic in Kinston, North Carolina.
Coach Kaz and his team continue to confront top-quality opponents, as the Falcons non-conference road schedule includes games against notable programs such as Oklahoma (Feb. 20), Texas Tech (Feb. 28-March 1), Michigan State (March 6), Kansas State (March 28-29), Texas (April 4), Kansas (April 18-19), and Arizona (May 5-7). Air Force will also travel to Louisiana Tech, the team the Falcons defeated 9-7 to advance to the Regional Finals in Austin this past June. The midweek series will run from March 14-15.
Air Force is scheduled to begin conference play on the road in Albuquerque against New Mexico, a series slated for March 10-12. The Falcons will see the Lobos twice in 2023, with San Jose State, San Diego State, and UNLV also scheduled as home-and-away interconference opponents.
