
Air Force beats Navy and Ohio State

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force remained perfect on its trip to Ohio by sweeping seventh-ranked Navy and 12th-ranked Ohio State, Sunday, Nov. 20, in Columbus, Ohio. The Falcons were a perfect 4-0 on the trip. Air Force is undefeated this season against the service academies with three wins over Navy and two over Army.
Air Force's team score of 4707 was one point better than Navy (4706) and 25 better than Ohio State (4682).
Sophomore Lauren Hurley shot a perfect score of 600 in air rifle, the first by a Falcon this season and the second of her career. Her aggregate score of 1182 is the best of her career and was second in the tri-meet. Sophomore Scott Rockett was fourth in aggregate (1179) and Jordan Williams was seventh (1173).
Hurley and Williams were the top Falcons in smallbore (582), placing seventh overall, followed by Rockett (581), Morgan Kreb (581) and Dante Aletto (579).
Air Force took the top two spots in air rifle as Hurley was perfect with a 600 and Rockett shot a 598. Freshman Victoria Leppert was seventh overall (592) and Williams was eighth at 591.
The Falcons are now off until the Winter Air Gun Championships, Dec. 9-11, at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
