Swimming and Diving takes to Phoenix

Both sides of the Air Force swimming and diving programs are set to travel to Phoenix, Arizona for dual action against Grand Canyon. Day One of the meet starts Friday, November 4 at 4:00 pm MT. Saturday's events will begin at 11:00 am MT.
Last Time Out (Women's)
-In Mountain West action at Laramie High School, Air Force bested host Wyoming by a score of 161-139, notching 10 first-place finishes in the process.
-It was a banner day for Abby Turner, who swam to three first-place finishes.
-Turner raced to the top spot in the 50Y Free (23.78), the 100Y Free (51.91), and was one of the four women to claim first place in the 200Y Medley Relay. Turner, as well as Kai Min-Tsuei, Kimmy Woolfenden, and Corbyn Cormack swam to a time of 1:44.48.
-Corrine Yorkman was among Air Force's highest individual placers, finishing third in the 200Y Backstroke with a finish of 2:05.87.
-Kimberly Woolfenden also managed a third-place finish, clocking in at 2:23.00 in the 200Y Breaststroke.

-Air Force was on the wrong end of a 194-105 losing score following dual action against Wyoming.
-Wen Zhang maintained his stellar form, claiming the top spot in the 100Y Free (44.94) and the 200Y Free (1:39.21).
-Zhang also placed second in the 500Y Free (4:45.53), and was one of four swimmers to place second as part of the 400Y Free Relay.
-Zhang, Grant Afman, John Plutt and Camden Swigart posted a time of 3:05.98.
-Afman also swam to a first-place finish in the 50Y Free, (21.22) and the 100Y Fly (50.07).
-Alex Kenyon overwhelmed the competition in the one-meter dive, managing a score of 338.10 to win the event.

- Following Air Force's time in Phoenix, the women's team will next compete in the Phil Hansel Invitational at the University of Houston, starting Thursday, November 17. The men will also be in Texas, traveling to College Station to participate in the Art Adamson Invitational at Texas A&M beginning Wednesday, November 16.
