USAF ACADEMY – Head coach Bill Wilson along with staff and players have elected the captains for the upcoming 2023 season. Seniors Brandon Dodd, Tommy Hellman, and Jason Rose were voted to take the captaincy by their peers.
"Our team voted for captains and did an outstanding job choosing three men who will lead the team into 2023," coach Wilson said. "Brandon Dodd, Tommy Hellman, and Jason Rose have been leading since May and we have seen results this fall in all pillars. The team has been focused on striving for excellence, and I look forward to seeing how we finish academically, militarily, and athletically leading into December."
Dodd is the Falcons' leading attack man, boasting a 70-point season via 46 goals and 24 assists last spring. He was a First-Team All-ASUN selection last season. Tommy Hellman is representing the Air Force midfield and has been an exemplary performer and leader both on and off the field. Hellman was good for 10 caused turnovers last season. Jason Rose has been the Falcons' primary keeper for the last two seasons. He earned SOCON All-Tournament team honors as a sophomore and was a First-Team All-ASUN selection last season.
"It has been evident that leadership has been perpetually developing through four classes and that consistent caring about our culture is present," Wilson continued. "I look forward to continuing this journey together as a team as we enjoy the process and focus on the root this winter leading into our season."
