
Air Force Track & Field Finalizes 2023 Schedule

Five home meets and an impressive list of high-level competitions are on the Falcons' schedule in 2023.
USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – Highlighted by five home meets and road trips to several of the nation's premier competitions, the Air Force track and field team finalized its schedule for the 2023 portion of its season this afternoon. The Falcons will host three indoor meets at the Cadet Field House and two outdoor competitions at the Cadet Outdoor Track and Field Complex during the upcoming calendar year.
Air Force, which opened the 2022-23 campaign with its Holiday Open last week, will continue its indoor home schedule in the new year with the Ralph Lindeman Invitational (Jan. 19-21), the Invitational at the Peak (Feb. 3), and the Air Force Collegiate Open (Feb. 17). The Falcons will also host the Front Range Classic (April 1) and the Air Force Twilight Open (May 5) during the outdoor season.
The Falcons will start 2023 at the Potts Invitational in Boulder on Jan. 13-14, while the team will split for the Texas Tech Open (Lubbock, Texas) and Colorado Invitational (Boulder, Colo.) on Jan. 27-28, and the BU Valentine Invitational (Boston, Mass.) and Don Kirby Invitational (Albuquerque, N.M.) on Feb. 10-11.
The indoor portion of the season will conclude with the Mountain West Championships (Feb. 23-25) and NCAA Championships (Mar. 10-11), which will both be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
As always, the Falcons' outdoor schedule will feature trips to numerous nationally recognized competitions, including San Diego State's Aztec Invitational (March 24-25), the Mike Fanelli Track Classic (March 30-April 1), the Stanford Invitational (March 31-April 1), and the Drake Relays (April 27-29). Air Force will also compete at the prestigious Mt SAC Relays during a busy weekend in California (April 13-15) that includes top-tier competition at the Bryan Clay Invitational and Beach Invitational.
Closer to home, Air Force will face off against its local foes at Colorado (Jerry Quiller Classic on March 17-18, Colorado Invitational on April 7-8) and Colorado State (Jack Christiansen Invitational on April 28-29).
The Mountain West Outdoor Championships will kick off the postseason on May 10-13, as the conference field heads to Clovis, Calif., for the fifth time in as many championship meets. The NCAA Outdoor Championships begin for the Falcons with the West Preliminary in Sacramento, Calif., on May 24-27 and conclude with the championship rounds in Austin, Texas on June 7-10.
