
Air Force Falls at Utah State

LOGAN, Utah - Air Force men's basketball (10-10, 3-6 MW) fell to Utah State (13-9, 4-5 MW), 73-46, in Mountain West action Tuesday night at Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
Utah State shot 62 percent from the field and had four players reach double figures in scoring. The post players of Justin Bean and Brandon Horvath scored 17 points each and combined for 18 rebounds.
Air Force struggled with its shooting and on the boards. The Falcons shot 36 percent from the field and were out-rebounded 36-16.
Junior Forward Nikc Jackson and sophomore guard Joseph Octave scored nine points each to lead the Falcons. Senior guard AJ Walker added eight points and freshman guard Ethan Taylor scored seven points. Freshman guard Jeffrey Mills led the team with three assists.
Utah State shot 66.7 percent from the field in the opening half to take a 36-23 lead at the break. The Aggies were 13 of 14 on two-point baskets.
The Falcons continued to struggle in the second half, as Utah State shot 56 percent in the later half. Air Force did have 10 steals on the night, one shy of its season-high.
Air Force returns to action Saturday, Feb. 5, hosting New Mexico. Tip time is 6 pm MT and the game will be televised by CBS Sports Network.
