
Air Force can't produce firepower in loss at UNLV

Sam Kulasingam's RBI double in the 3rd gave the Falcons the game's initial lead, though the Rebels would eventually tally on the remaining six runs of the ballgame.
The sophomore now has at least one hit in 13 of 16 games this season.
After some R&R over the past week, sophomore Paul Skenes returned the Air Force rotation, keeping the Falcons within striking distance for his five innings on the mound. The Golden Spikes Watchlist notable allowed only three hits to go with two runs, two walks, and six strikeouts.
Both of Skenes earned runs came in the 4th, as the Rebels claimed a 2-1 lead following back-to-back triples. The Falcons did manage seven hits though by the final out Air Force had left eight men on base.
The score remained a one-run differential into UNLV's portion of the 6th, but the Rebels created a 4-run inning that saw four hits, including two doubles. From the 7th inning on, 9 of 11 Air Force hitters were retired.
Game Two with UNLV is scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm MT on Saturday, March 19.
