Air Force women's tennis fell to #65 Fresno State (17-3, 7-0 MW) 4-2 in a neutral-site Mountain West contest Friday morning at the McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium in Albuquerque, NM. The Falcons moved to 15-6, 4-3 MW on the season.
Air Force opened with the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3. Vivian Glozman and Karina Chao won at No. 1 over Jittakoat/Magrini 6-3. Hailey Stelse and Alex Kuo won at No. 3 over Flaquer/Hummel 7-5.
Fresno State, who is first in the conference, rallied in singles, going 4-1. Air Force's win came at No. 2 singles, as Sydney Fitch defeated Matilde Magrini 6-1, 6-2. Alexis Odom battled to three sets at No. 3. Stelse dropped the tiebreaker in the first set at No. 5.
Air Force returns to action Saturday, April 16 against San Jose State in Albuquerque, NM.
