Falcons to compete in Stitch Invitational, April 8-9

THIS WEEK: The Air Force golf team will compete in the Stitch Invitational, hosted by North Carolina State University, Friday-Saturday, April 8-9. Live stats will be available on www.golfstat.com

THE FORMAT: The teams will play 36 holes on Friday, April 8, starting at 8:00 am ET. The final 18 holes will be on Saturday, April 9, starting at 8:00 am ET. The tournament will be played at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, N.C. The 18-hole, par-72 course will play at 7,287 yards

THE FIELD: Air Force will be joined by Campbell, College of Charleston, Davidson, Duke (No. 45), East Tennessee State (No. 27), Georgia Southern (No. 46), Jacksonville State, NC State (No. 25), Nebraska. Notre Dame (No. 14), Toledo, UNC-Greensboro.

THE LINEUP: Air Force's lineup for the Stitch Invitational will be: 1. Cameron Kahle; 2. Isaac Layne; 3. Jonathan Farmer; 4. Colter Baca; 5. Aaron Kuznik; Ind: Max Heupel.

RECENTLY: Air Force has not competed since the Bandon Dunes Championship at the Bandon Dunes Sheep Ranch Course, March 8, in Bandon, Ore. Freshman Christopher Park led the Falcons in the final round, shooting 74 to tie for 30^th overall at 221. The Plano, Texas, native shot 73-74-74 over the 54-hole tournament. Junior Isaac Layne shot 76 on the final day and came in at 232 for the tournament. Seniors Colter Baca and Jonathan Farmer shot 80 and freshman Cameron Kahle shot 81 in the final round. Oregon won the team title with an 863 (+11). San Jose State was second (865), followed by ninth-ranked Kansas (866) and Utah (873). Air Force was 15^th with a 923.

NEXT UP: Following Stitch Invitational, the Falcons will compete in the BYU Cougar Classic, Friday-Saturday, April 22-23, in Provo, Utah. The spring season concludes with the Mountain West Championships, April 29-May 1, in Bremerton, Wash.
