Air Force Academy Sports Camps in 42nd year
6/13/2022 9:00:00 AM | General
Air Force Academy Sports Camps Presented by Centura began last week and will continue for the next week and one-half, concluding June 22. This year marks the 42nd year of camps.
There are 22 camps offered for ages 8-18, with an additional five elite camps. Session 1 ran from June 6-10, Session 2 from June 13-17 and Session 3 from June 20-22. More than 3,000 campers from all 50 states and several others from overseas will take part in this year's camps.
Air Force head coaches and their staffs lead the camps and are assisted by some of the top coaches in Colorado and around the country. As in year's past, Air Force Academy cadets make up the cadre that interact with campers daily in support roles and serve as counselors in the dorms for campers electing to attend camp as overnight boarders.
In addition to the incredible partnership with Centura Health, the Academy is proud to welcome back TrueSport as a partner for the seventh straight year. TrueSport is a program powered by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), designed to positively impact and preserve the future of sport in America. AF Sports Camps will once again be officially recognized as a True Sport camp by USADA which means that each camper will be exposed to the curriculum and will gain important lessons on what it means to be a TrueSport athlete.
