
Air Force Falls at No. 23 Seattle U, 2-0

SEATTLE – Air Force dropped a Western Athletic Conference match at No. 23 Seattle U, 2-0, Sunday afternoon at Championship Field. Seattle, the league front-runners, improved to 7-2-2 (2-0 WAC) in the win while the Falcons remain in the hunt for their first win this season (0-10-1, 0-2 WAC).
The Redhawks struck once in each half; Lennard Fock scored first (40') via assist from James Morris. Nico Wiskel notched the second goal (74') via a touch from Kotaro Kirokawa. The Falcons attempted just two shots in each half.
For the second match this weekend, senior midfielder Greg Hill led AF in shot attempts with two to his credit, one on goal. Seattle U took 21 shots on the match, five on frame. James Morris took a match-high seven attempts.
Air Force keeper Jakob Stone made two saves in the defensive effort while counterpart Charlie Lanphier was tested with just one shot on goal.
Next up, Air Force returns to the Academy to host UNLV in a Sunday afternoon matchup at Cadet Soccer Stadium. Action on October 8 is scheduled for 3 p.m. MT.
