Air Force hosts No. 2 TCU, Oct. 21

This Week: Seventh-ranked Air Force hosts the second-ranked TCU Horned Frogs in a dual meet Saturday, Oct. 21, at 8:45 am at the Cadet Rifle Range. Live scoring will be available at MegaLink.

The Rankings: TCU owns the third (4738) and fifth (4734) highest aggregate scores in the nation this season. Air Force's 4725 is ninth best in the nation. TCU also has the third (2365) and sixth (2356) air rifle scores in the nation. Air Force is seventh with a 2380.

Last Week: Nebraska edged the Air Force rifle team, 4728-4716, in a dual meet Sunday, Oct. 15, at the Academy's Cadet Rifle Range. The Cornhuskers won both the smallbore (2344-2339) and air rifle (2384-2377). The smallbore score is the fourth best in school history while the air rifle is the fifth best. Nebraska held the top three individual aggregate spots. Air Force senior Morgan Kreb and junior Scott Rockett tied as the top Falcons with an 1181. Lauren Hurley shot an 1178, followed by Peninah D'Souza (1172) and Dante Aletto (1169). The Cornhuskers took the top two spots in both smallbore and air rifle. Kreb was the top Falcon in smallbore with a 589, just one point off her career best. Rockett was fifth in smallbore (585), Hurley was sixth (584) and Aletto was seventh with a career-best 581. In air rifle, Rockett was third (596), followed by D'Souza (595) and Hurley (594).

Last Time vs. TCU: Last season, Air Force suffered a close dual meet loss to No. 1-rankedTCU, 4753-4723, to open the 2022-23 season. Scott Rockett and Peninah D'Souza tied as the top Falcons, each shooting an 1186. Morgan Kreb was third at 1182.
