Four Falcons will enter the tournament with seed numbers in front of their name. AF heavyweight Wyatt Hendrickson was seeded atop the division. Other Falcon seedings are Tucker Owens (11), Giano Petrucelli (12), and Sam Wolf (15).
LAST TIME AT THE CKLV
Wyatt Hendrickson battled to a fourth-place finish at the 40th Annual Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The Falcons put up 34 team points to finish 15th in the field of 34 teams. Then-senior Cody Phippen made it to the second day of action but landed shy of the podium.
IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
The Falcons bumped up in the team tournament rankings improving to 20/19 according to Intermat and FloWrestling, respectively. Hendrickson remains second in the heavy weight division, while teammates Giano Petrucelli (25/19) and Tucker Owens (22/25) bumped up a spot each.
ON ANOTHER FRONT
A small contingent of Falcons will travel to Hays, Kansas, to compete for titles at the Bob Smith Open hosted by Fort Hays State University. Matches inside Gross Memorial Coliseum on Sunday (Dec. 11) will be available to watch on FloWrestling and live results are available on Track Wrestling.
