(RV) Air Force Rolls To 18-6 Win At UC Merced

(RV) Air Force men's water polo (17-13 overall, 1-3 WCC) defeated UC Merced, 18-6, afternoon at the UC Merced Aquatics Center in Merced, Calif.
Falcons came out strong, scoring six goals in the first quarter to jump ahead 6-2. The scoring was at a premium in the second quarter as the teams scored one goal each to make it a 7-3 game at the half.
Air Force came out and scored nine goals in the third quarter, the most in a quarter this season, to jump ahead 16-5. The Falcons added two goals in the fourth.
Tom Leggett scored seven goals to lead the Falcons. Jackson Carter added four points with a hat trick three goals and an assist. Jake Dixon and Sam De La Cruz added two points each. David Brown had three points with two goals and an assist.
Liam Markus had two saves in goal for the win. Luca Smith relieved Markus at the half and had two saves and two steals.
Air Force returns to action Sunday at Cal Baptist. The game tips at 2 pm PT.
