Layne is top Falcon at Watersound Invitational

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Senior Isaac Layne was the top Falcon at the Watersound Invitational, Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the Shark's Tooth Golf Course in Panama City Beach, Fla.
Layne was top Falcon on the final day with a 77 and led the team over the three-day tournament with a 225. Sophomore Cameron Kahle was second over the 54-hole event with a 228, followed by Christopher Park (240), Brooks Morrell (244) and Alvaro Fonseca (245).
Vanderbilt, the No. 1 team in the nation, won the tournament with an 826 (-38). No. 12 Georgia Tech was second at 827 and No. 11 Florida State was third at 840. Air Force placed 11th with a 934. Eight of the top 40 teams in the nation are competing in the tournament.
Air Force will compete in the Bandon Dunes Collegiate, March 12-14, in Bandon, Ore.
