Air Force Cruises by Lindenwood, 15-6

USAF ACADEMY – Air Force outscored ASUN Conference newcomer Lindenwood, 15-6, Saturday afternoon in the Holaday Athletic Center. The Falcons improve to 6-3 on the season and remain undefeated in league play (3-0).
Brandon Dodd had a career day, scoring nine points with seven goals and two assists—he scored four straight goals in the first quarter to lock in his fifth hat trick this season. Dodd has 25 goals on the year and has had a goal in every appearance.
Senior Josh Tauss notched his first career hat trick while brothers out of Ridgewood, New Jersey, Gavin and Wes Peene, put up two goals apiece. Josh Yago rounded out the scoring for Air Force with his ninth goal of the season.
Senior attack man Ethan Grandolfo was exceptional on both sides of the ball, tallying two assists and causing a game-high four turnovers.
Air Force had a successful day at the center dot, winning 13-of-25 face off attempts, led by Jake Knapp who won 11-of-19. Jason Rose and Quinn Richards split time in the cage, making five and seven saves, respectfully.
When the dust settled, Air Force out shot Lindenwood, 41-33, and cleared 22-23. Both squads had 22 turnovers and Lindenwood picked up 28 ground balls to AF's 22.
Next up, the Falcons host ASUN rivals Utah in a midweek game at the Air Force Academy. The Falcons and Utes face off at noon on Wednesday (March 29), at the Falcon Lacrosse Practice Field. Air Force is looking to make good on last season's 10-8 loss at the Academy.
