STANFORD, Calif. – The men's 4x100-meter relay debuted on the program's all-time Top 20 this afternoon (April 1), as the Air Force track and field team closed out competition at the prestigious Stanford Invitational in California.
Sophomore Javin Bostic, junior Jackson Connelly and the senior duo of Cameron Harris and Zac Larrier combined for a time of 41.00 to finish seventh in the meet and match the 19th-fastest time in program history. With that time, the quartet equaled the 41-flat that Dennis Bellamy, James McReynolds, George Kaliwai and Morgan Lankford set in 1977.
Bostic, Connelly and Larrier also competed in the 200-meter dash on Saturday. One day after setting the Academy Record in the 100-meter dash, Bostic clocked a wind-aided 21.37 to finish fifth in the 33-runner event, while Connelly added an eighth-place time of 21.54 and Larrier finished 12th in 21.71 during his first 200-meter dash of the outdoor season.
Sophomore Taylor Rioux, the only member of the women's team to compete at Cobb Track and Angell Field today, clocked a wind-aided 24.76 to finish within the top-half of the 64-runner event (25th).
From the field, senior Hayden Bullock finished seventh in the Invitational section of the shot put with a distance of 55'9¼", while freshman Texas Tanner finished fifth out of 25 throwers open event (52'6½"). Bullock was one of four Falcons to earn top-10 marks in the meet's Invitational sections, as senior Jaret Prete and junior Caiden Macktinger claimed eighth-place marks in the hammer (194'5") and pole vault (season-best 16'0¾"), respectively, and junior Brandon Lindner finished ninth in the triple jump (46'6¼").
