Air Force Falls at Seton Hall, 3-0

SOUTH ORANGE, New Jersey – Air Force dropped at three-nil contest to Seton Hall, Sunday evening, at Owen T. Carroll Field. The Falcons remain in the hunt for a win as they prepare for next weekend at the Academy. The Pirates remain unbeaten at 2-0.

SHU lit the board up in the eighth minute as James Boote assisted Tim Strobeck. Just under two minutes later, the Pirates received a foul call in the penalty box, yielding a penalty kick to Andrea Borg who connected.

Seton Hall's final strike came in the 65^th minute as Boote scored via touches from Sam Bjork and Jared Smith.

At the final horn, seniors Remi Smith and Luke Hill led the offensive effort with a pair of shots apiece. Smith, Carter Rizzo and Kobey Stoup each put a shot on goal. The Falcons took seven shot attempts on the match while the Pirates took 13 with seven coming on target.

Senior goalie Jakob Stone made four saves in his second appearance this season.

Next up, the Falcons return to the Academy for the first of a four-match home stint, taking on 2022 Sweet 16 squad Western Michigan on Thursday (Aug. 31). Air Force wraps up the weekend hosting Sacramento State on Sunday (Sept. 3). The matches are slated for 7 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively, at Cadet Soccer Stadium.
