The Aggies are coming off home wins over Wyoming (3-2) and Colorado State (3-1) last week, handing the Cowgirls their first loss of the year in their MW opener. Utah State held its opponents to a league-low .167 hitting percentage during the first weekend of league play, while recording the second-best team hitting at .280. Overall, Utah State is averaging 2.62 blocks per set – the best average in the Mountain West.
BY THE NUMBERS
Boise State holds a 17-6 all-time advantage over the Falcons, but Air Force has won four of its last five home contests with the Broncos – including a sweep during the final weekend of the regular season last fall. Utah State is 12-6 in its lifetime series with Air Force, while the record is even at the Academy with four wins apiece.

DID YOU KNOW?
Of the four teams that posted a perfect opening week in MW play, Air Force was the only team to do it on the road.
ROAD WARRIORS
Air Force picked up its fourth true road win of the year during its sweep of Nevada on Sept 23 – a victory that tied the program record for most road wins at the Division I level. With wins at Gonzaga, Santa Clara, Fresno State and Nevada, the Falcons have tied the 1999 and 2003 teams for the most true road wins in Academy DI history.
FACTS & FIGURES
Air Force is 2-0 in conference play for just the third time at the Division I level (WAC, Mountain West), matching the starts the squad had in 2014 and 2018. The Falcons' four-set win over Fresno State marked the fifth time at the DI level that the Falcons have won the first match of a conference season.
10-POINT SCORING
The Falcons recorded their 10th victory of the season during their 13th contest of the year – marking the second-fastest stretch to 10 wins at the Division I level. The 10-3 record, which matched the start of the 2018 team, only trails the 10-2 start that Air Force had during the 1999 season.
WHAT'S ON DECK
The Falcons head back on the road next week for conference contests at San Diego State (Oct 5) and UNLV (Oct 7).
